We’re Sunsetting the Ambassador Program

back

Since 2018, you and over 25,000 other people in our community have partnered together to help raise awareness about the Takata airbag recall. With your help, we have replaced thousands of defective airbag inflators, keeping our friends, family, and so many of the people we care about safe.

Our mission is to help people and save lives. Over the past two years, we have developed new and innovative solutions that allow us to fulfill that mission, enabling us to reach even more people across the U.S. Today, we are choosing to focus our efforts on those solutions. As a result, we will be shutting down this community-based program on Carma Project effective October 15, 2020, at 1 p.m. PT. Any repairs that are eligible for CarmaCoin must be completed and reported by the manufacturer to Carma, by no later than October 12, 2020, at 11:59 p.m. PT. You must redeem any qualified and unused CarmaCoin balance on Bitmo by no later than October 30, 2020, at 11:59 p.m. PT.

Nineteen different automotive manufacturers are affected by these deadly recalls. Over 11 million of these defective airbag inflators are still on the road. Please continue to encourage your friends and family members to check their vehicle’s recall status at www.carmaproject.com/owner-lookup or www.nhtsa.gov.

From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU for everything that you have done. We hope to cross paths with you again soon!

Best,

Carma Project Team
